1708 cadets participated in Yoga camp organised by 19th Punjab Battalion on first International Yoga Day.



To mark the first ever International Yoga Day under the instruction of Prime Minister Narendra  Modi NCC Cadets  of 19th Punjab Battalion participated in yoga camp . On this occasion19th Punjab battalion’s Ludhiana Malerkotla and khanna’s 1708 cadets  participated  in Yoga camp as  a landmark event for holistic well-being .The yoga camps in various institutions were conducted under the guidance of colonel A.S.Mehta .The cadets were trained to perform various yogic asnas under the supervision of the instructors. The cadets made aware of the importance of yoga for healthy life .They were also imparted how Yoga is useful to de-stress in life .Later, cadets were also informed about tadd asana which is helpful to increase the height.
Colonel A S Mehta while encouraging the cadets urged them to practise yoga in everyday life   .He further informed that yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action, restraint and fulfilment, a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness.k
