Group of Institutions, Khanna celebrated the occasion of Teacher’s Day as a part of its ongoing SIP 2022, at its campus by remembering the contributions made by legendary gurus and eminent educationists. Social worker and noted educationist of the area: Mr. Dharampal Angrish graced the celebrations as Chief Guest. The function commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting ceremony and prayers by students of MBA & BBA. Dr. Harpreet Singh (Director) introduced the dignitary and discussed the role of teacher in shaping the society. He delved into the teachings of ancient gurus and encouraged students to inculcate human values. He also urged teachers to adopt learner-centric activities and ensure that the students learn virtues and make social contribution. The Chief Guest, Mr. Dharampal Angrish brought out the importance of the occasion and urged students and teachers to learn from the life of Dr. Radhakrishnan. He also encouraged students to go beyond rote learning and adopt volunteering and social development activities as a part of their life. He encouraged teachers to become contributors to social growth. Various Indo-western songs, folk activities, speeches and traditional dances marked the day. The skit depicting college life and importance of education was well-received by the audience. Later, the staff was honoured by the management. A token of appreciation and shawl was presented to the chief guest.
