Inter-state Fake Indian Currency Note Gang Busted & recovered
FICN worth Rs 15 lakh 05 thousand, 04 members arrested.
FIR No. 60 dated 13.04.2023 U/S 489A/489B/489C/489D/489E IPC PS Sadar Khanna
Under the leadership of Mrs. Amneet Kondal IPS, Senior Superintendent of
Police Khanna, a special campaign was launched to nab criminals and anti-social elements. The team
under supervision of Dr. Pragya Jain, IPS Superintendent Police (I) comprising of Inspector Amandeep
Singh, In-charge CIA Staff Khanna and Inspector Hardeep Singh, SHO Police Station Sadar, Khanna
arrested a total of 04 accused in the said case and recovered Fake Indian Currency Notes worth Rs. 15
Lakhs 05 thousand.
On date 13.04.2023 Police Party of PS Sadar Khanna was patrolling around
Village Alaur, Khanna. During this, the police party observed two suspicious persons and conducted
checking. During this, first person told his name as Kamaljit Singh S/o Bahadar Singh R/o Village
Ranwan, Tehsil Samrala, District Ludhiana & second person told his name as Honey Bharadwaj S/o
Charan Das R/o back side Bus Stand, Machhiwara Sahib, Tehsil Samrala, District Ludhiana. During the
checking of above persons, Fake Indian Currency Notes Notes of 500 & 200 worth Rs. 67,500/- were
recovered from their possession. FIR No. 60 dated 13.04.2023 U/S 489A/489B/489C/489D/489E IPC PS
Sadar Khanna was registered & further investigation was carried out.
During the investigation, backward linkages were worked upon & Manoj
Kumar @ Vijay R/o District Ajmer (Rajasthan) was nominated in the said case on dated 15.04.2023.
After obtaining arrest warrants and necessary permissions for out-of-state raids, on dated 16.04.2023,
Manoj Kumar @ Vijay along with co-accused Madan Lal was arrested. Recovery of Rs. 14,20,000/- with
Laptop, printer, blank pages (used for printing Fake Indian Currency Notes) was effected from their
possession. On dated 18.04.2023, recovery of Fake Indian Currency Notes worth 17,500/- was effected.
Total of FICN worth Rs. 15,05,000/- has been effected from above said 04 accused. In addition to this,
uncut printed notes of Rs. 500 & Rs 100 amounting to total worth Rs. 5,84,000/- has also been
recovered from their possession. Police Remand of accused has been obtained for further interrogation
and more revelations are likely to be made.
Khanna Police has earlier recovered a sum of Rs.1, 19,500/- FICN in the
month of March & arrested 04 accused in FIR no 48 dated 11.03.2023 U/S 489A/489B/489C IPC PS City-2
Khanna.
Khanna Police appeals to the public to be aware in relation to fake currency
notes. Also, if anyone receives Fake Indian Currency Notes he/she should immediately inform nearest
