As per directions of the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Ministry of Higher Education, A.S. College, Khanna organised an awareness workshop aimed at the Swachhta Action Plan of MHRD, New Delhi. In this workshop, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, the District Resource Person of MGNCRE highlighted the different activities regarding Sanitation and Hygiene, Water Management, Waste Management, Energy Conservation and the Campus Greenery that are required to be undertaken by academic institutions. During the campus visit, the college Principal Dr. R.S Jhanji and Nodal Officer Dr. Charn Kumar accompanied the Mr. Rajesh Kumar to share the Swachhta Initiatives being undertaken by the college. This included the Botanical Garden, Fruit Garden, Rainwater Harvesting Tank, Vermicompoisting Unit, Solar Energy Use and Biodiversity Conservation measures in the college.
