lecture on I.T. Act in relation to Bank Frauds held at A.S Group of Institutions, Khanna


Furthering its commitment to providing quality education to all, A.S Group of Institutions, Khanna organized a guest lecture on “I.T. Act in relation to Bank Frauds” at its campus. Mr. Manpreet Singh (Legal Zonal Head, I.C.I.C.I Bank, Chandigarh) was the keynote speaker of the day who was accorded a floral welcome by the Sh.Rajneesh Bedi (Member, A.S. High School Khanna Management Trust and Society) and Director, A.S.G.I, Khanna, Dr. Harpreet Singh. In his welcome address, Dr. Singh shared insights of the journey of the speaker to being a great expert of Cyber Crime and Fraud Prevention in the state and expressed hope that students will learn from his vast expertise and experience. While interacting with the students, Mr. Singh highlighted the various concepts of safety during online transactions and social networking sites. Various techniques like Skimming and Phishing are used by hackers to cheat innocent shoppers of their hard earned money. He also cautioned students against imposters possessing fake id on social sites and said that section 66(G) deals strongly with such cases.  In the end, the Guest was presented with an award of honour by the Director and H.O.D. and a vote of thanks was also proposed.
