Sh. Gursharandeep Singh Grewal, PPS, SSP/Khanna, has
disclosed in a press conference that as Khanna Police has started a special
Campaign against Bad Characters/Elements & misdemeanors. During this campaign,
the two police teams were constituted of CIA Staff Khanna & PS/City-1/Khanna to
curb out the menace of vehicle theft from the society, Under the Supervision of
SP/I/Khanna & Sh. Deepak Rai PPS, DSP/Khanna. Insp. Gurmail Singh Incharge CIA
Khanna & SI Labh Singh SHO/City-1/Khanna were appointed as Incharges of Teams.
Working as a promptness, these teams had achieved a huge success in last days. As
ASI Suraajdeen PS/City-1/Khanna alongwith CIA Staff Police Party
arrested
Three accused from T-point Village Manakmajra in c/w investigation of FIR No. 132 dt
12.08.19 U/s 379 IPC PS/City-1/Khanna & recovered parts of 17 Vehicles (12 cars, 5
Motorcycles).
During investigation of above said gang, one another gang (4
members gang) has figured who were being committed the same crime for the last
few months & Tarsem Singh @ Sema S/o Sukhdev Singh R/o Manakmajra is the
chief of figured gang, including members Sukhdev Singh @ Kala S/o Darshan Singh,
Kulwant Singh @ Buggi S/o Jagir Ram & Harwinder Singh @ Bachi S/o Ramdas all
residents of Village Manakmajra PS/Sadar/Khanna. Insp. Gurmail Singh Incharge
CIA/Khanna & SI Labh Singh SHO/City-1/Khanna nabbed this gang from T-point
Bhadla during Nakabandi.
During investigation, Tarsem Singh @ Sema gang revealed that
they have stolen upto 41 vehicles from the Police District Khanna and Districts near
by (i.e 10 Vehicle Stolen from Ropar, 3 Vehicle Stolen from Sangrur, 9 Vehicle Stolen
from Patiala, 3 Vehicle Stolen from Shri Fatehgarh Sahib & 16 Vehicle Stolen from
Police District Khanna) & upto 25 FIRs already registered against them in various
Districts (including Police District Khanna. They have a godown at Village Fatehgarh
Niuyan PS/Kheri Naudh Singh District Fatehgarh Sahib, where they disabled the
vehicles, cut off their spare parts & selling them in the form of scrap. A Case FIR no.
135 dt 20.08.19 U/s 379/411/201 IPC PS/City-1/Khanna has registered against them
& arrested them. The culprits are being questioned, there is a possibility of major
disclosures.
