DPSK inaugurated its Career Counselling Cell to help its students who are seeking higher education in the top Colleges & Universities overseas. It may be recalled that a large number of students from DPSK are already studying in Canada, Australia, Germany, UK, Ukraine and USA.
A special workshop was Organised by ETS to teach the students how to get high scores in TOEFL. The session was conducted for grade XI & XII students.
The purpose is to educate the students on opportunities for studying abroad, understanding TOEFL as a Test, how to approach the test, and utilizing the study material from ETS's official website
When students are planning to study in foreign universities/colleges, they can take TOEFL. It is widely accepted in 160+ countries including Canada, US, Australia, UK, and New Zealand. This test measures English proficiency in Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing skills.
The coaching for selecting careers starts at Class X itself IN DPSK through a rigorous Aptitude test to focus on the students interest areas. A special desk at the school library has literature of the top universities in Canada, Australia, UK, USA & Europe. The senior teachers of the Medical, Non Medical, Commerce & Humanities streams guide the students about the various options which are available for foreign education.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman DPSK, Mr DS Bains advised the students to contemplate on what motivates them. They must determine their job target & explore career options. Students need to conduct research about the success of these careers from DPSK students who are already pursuing higher education abroad.
