Suresh Arora, IPS Director General of Police, Punjab, Chandigarh & Sh. Ranbir Singh Khatra, IPS Deputy Inspector General of Polcie, Ludhiana Range, Ludhiana, started a special campaign against the Drug Trafficking & misdemeanors, during this campaign Khanna Police has achieved a great success today i.e. 13.09.18 when under the guidelines of Sh. Jasvir Singh, PPS. SP/I/Khanna, Sh. Jagwinder Singh, PPS. DSP/I/Khanna, Sh Harsimrat Singh, PPS. DSP/Samrala, Insp. Manjit Singh SHO/Samrala has received the information about the Illicit Liquor, then ASI Amrik Singh alongwith Police Party ASI Tarwinder Kumar, SI Akash Dutt, HC Amarjit Singh, Ct. Jagjit Singh, Ct. Navdeep Singh, PHG Jagdev Singh & PHG Sukhdev Singh were setup the Nakabandi at Chawa road T-Point Ottalan & started to checking the suspected vehicles, while checking a truck no. HR-37-C-8946 was coming from the Chawa side. Police Party has stopped the truck, the occupants of truck has identified as Joginder Singh S/o Malook Singh R/o Peher Kalan PS/Sadar/Rajpura Distt. Patiala & Gurjant Singh S/o Mehal Singh R/o Shamshpur PS/Sadar/Patiala. On the frisking, 900 Boxes of illicit liquor (700 boxes of Crazy Romeo, 200 boxes of Party special) have been recovered, which were allowed to sale only in Arunachal Pradesh. The accused were carrying the illicit liquor from Shambu to Hoshiarpur. The both accused were arrested & a case FIR No. 217, Dt. 13.09.18 U/S 61/1/14 Excise Act PS/Samrala has been registered against the above said accused.
