Manji Sahib, Kottan bagged the First Over All Trophy in Fine Arts during the first
‘Khalsai Youth Festival’ held on 26
& 27 , February, 2015 by
Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, Shri Amritsar at Shri Guru Tegh
Bahadur Khalsa College, Shri Anandpur
Sahib, in commemoration of 350th
year of the establishment of the city of Anandpur Sahib . The main
objective of the festival, to be held every year is to inculcate moral and
ethical values preached by Sikh Gurus among the youth. The festival was
dedicated to Sikh History and religion. 37 colleges, being run by SGPC,
participated in this youth Festival. Among the various items the students brought
laurels to their instituition by securing first prize in Poster-making, Second
prize in On the spot-painting, clay modeling, slogan writing and Essay writing,
whereas they got third prize in Vaar singing ,kawishri and collage making. The
college created history by winning Second over All Trophy of the Youth Festival.
For this glorious triumph Pesident SGPC Jathedar S.Avtar Singh ji ushered his
blessings to the students who won and those who participated in the festival
and appreciated the team work of the college Principal and the staff.
