The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leadership led by state president and Member of Parliament (MP)
Bhagwant Mann, paid rich tributes to great martyr of Goa’s Struggle for freedom, Karnail Singh Issru on
the occasion of his anniversary.
Speaking to the media on the occasion, Mann said that more battle were required to be waged to make
India a country of the martyrs’ dreams, saying earlier the country was got freed from the Britishers and
now it had be freed from the ‘black’ Britishers.
Earlier, Bhagwant Mann, Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema, Deputy Leader of Opposition, Bibi
Sarabjit Kaur Manunke and other leaders, Payal halqa in-charge and core committee member Baljinder
Singh Chaunda, and others leaders offered their tributes to the great martyr.
Fielding media questions, Mann condemned the demolition of the historic Sri Guru Ravidas temple by
the BJP-controlled Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in Delhi, which exposed the anti-Dalit face of the
BJP. He said the union government at the centre could have come up with a more viable solution to
resolve the issue.
Expressing grave concern over the issue of water crisis, he said the state of Punjab had not a single drop
of water to spare to quench the thirst of others, stating that the situation had emerged due to the anti-
Punjab policies of the Congress, Akali Dal-BJP governments, stating that Punjab was on the verge of
becoming a desert soon.
