Under the leadership of Mrs. Amneet Kondal IPS, Senior
Superintendent of Police, Khanna and as per the directions of Dr. Pragya Jain IPS, Superintendent of
Police (Inv.), a campaign is in progress to nab bad elements and drug smugglers. Under this
campaign, DySP Harsimrat Singh PPS Sub-Division Payal, Inspector Vinod Kumar SHO Maloud and
Sub-Inspector Vijay Kumar SHO Doraha arrested 03 accused in two different FIR’s and recovered 02
Quintal 42 kg Poppy Husk & 02 vehicles from their possession. Action against drugs & bad elements
will continue further by Khanna Police.
On 27.07.2023 Police Party of Police Station Doraha was present at Punjab
PUNSUP Godam Doraha when a Cruz car bearing number DL-9CT-3450 was stopped for checking by
the Police Party, During questioning. They he gave his name as Jaswinder Singh alias Lallu S/o
Jagroop Singh R/o Bagdian, PS Amargarh, District Malerkotla and Gurwinder Singh S/o Surjit Singh
R/o Gobindgarh Chhna PS Sadar Nabha District Patiala. The personal search of suspects was carried
out in the presence of a GO, DSP Harsimrat Singh, Sub Division Payal who was called on the spot
and the search of the said persons was carried out as per the law. During the checking of car, 1
Quintal 70 kg Poppy Husk, was recovered from their possession. FIR No-111 Dated 27.07.2023 U/S
15/61/85 NDPS Act PS Doraha was registered against Jaswinder Singh alias Lallu S/o Jagroop Singh
and Gurwinder Singh S/o Surjit Singh
On 27.07.2023 the Police Party of Police Station Malod was present at bus
stand Rodia in connection with checking suspicious persons, when the Police Party saw a Truck
Ashoka Lay-Land PB-10-ES-8933 coming from Malerkotla side towards Kupp Kalan. This truck was
stopped for checking by the police party and after questioning he gave his name as Harpreet Singh
alias Harry S/o Najinder Singh R/o Isru, PS Sadar, Khanna. On checking, 72kg Poppy Husk recovered
from his possession. FIR no. 81 Dated 27.07.2023 U/S 15,25/61/85 NDPS Act PS Maload was
registered against Harpreet Singh alias Harry S/o Najinder Singh R/o of Isru, PS Sadar, Khanna
