On 20.07.2023, Police party of PS Machiwara Sahib received information
of illegal mining and that trolley of illegal sand was being brought to Machiwara Sahib. The police
party along with SHO, Machiwara Sahib reached the spot and took possession of the tractor trolley
for further action. During this, the accused attacked the police & prevented them from taking legal
action they snached the tractor trolley loaded with illegal sand from their possession, after injuring

IPC , 21 Mining Act was immediately registered against 1) Kuldeep Singh Grewal S/o Makhan Singh

Singh alias Kala S/o Mohan Singh, 4) Jarnail Singh @ Rinku S/o Mohan Singh, 5) Gurpreet Singh@
Laddu S/o Mohan Singh, 6) Gagandeep Singh S/o Kuldeep Singh, 7) Vedpal S/o Rishipal, 8) Honey
and 04 unknown persons.During investigation Rishipal S/o late Bachna Ram R/o of Tandimand, PS
Machiwara Sahib, Manpreet Singh S/o Nachhatar Singh R/o Mand Jharodi PS Machiwara Sahib,
Gurwinder Singh @ Guddu S/o Gurmeet Singh R/o Fatehpur district Ropar, Naresh @ Tota S/o
Rajnaram were nominated into above said FIR.
Under the leadership of Mrs. Amneet Kondal IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police Khanna,
the teams under supervision of Dr. Pragya Jain, IPS Superintendent Police (I) comprising of Waryam
Singh DSP Samrala, Inspector Amandeep Singh CIA Incharge Khanna, Samrala Police and
Machiwara Sahib Police conducted late night and early morning raids along with the technical team.
A total of 09 accused including Kuldeep Singh Grewal have been arrested in the said case. The arrest
of 02 accused in the said case is pending. Khanna police strictly warns anti-social elements against
